WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The search continues for a missing Lummi Nation elder.

Washington State Patrol (WSP) issued a Missing Person Alert on Thursday for 62-year-old Besalynn James. She was last seen near her home on Balch Road on Jan. 21.

James is described as 5 foot 1 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She has a tattoo on her arm that reads “BES”.

WSP now joins Lummi Nation Police, the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI in searching for her.
