FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The first day of a big event in Ferndale has been moved indoors.

The Ferndale Chamber of Commerce announced on Tuesday, June 23 that Jam on the River will be moved to the Pioneer Pavilion (2007 Cherry St.) on Friday, June 26.

Forecasted rain and possible thunderstorms forced the move. Organizers still plan to host Saturday’s festivities outdoors at Centennial River Walk Park, but if the rainy weather sticks around a move to the pavilion is likely.

Jam on the River features musical guests, local vendors, food trucks and a beer garden. Sponsors include Phillips 66, Smoky Raven Creative, and FrinGe Brewing.

The event runs from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
