BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A sneak peak of summer weather is headed to Whatcom County as temperatures are forecast to rise.
The National Weather Service in Seattle (NWS) says that hot and dry conditions are in the forecast for much of the region this week. Bellingham is projected to see temperatures as high as 82 degrees, marking the warmest day of the year so far on Wednesday.
Lynden is forecasted with a high of 84 degrees, and Mount Vernon could see temperatures as high as 83 degrees. NWS says a moderate heat risk is expected for much of Western Washington away from the immediate coastline.

Temperatures are forecasted to dip on Thursday and creep back up into the 70s on Friday.
