WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Updated forecasts are suggesting that we will have a frosty start to the month of February.
The National Weather Service in Seattle (NWS) says that the lowlands of western Whatcom County will likely see at least two inches of snow fall between Saturday, Feb. 1 and Sunday, Feb. 2.
Additional snowfall between Feb. 3 and 4 could add another two inches on the ground. Rain showers are expected to mix and turn into snow on Feb. 1 as temperatures plunge.

The NWS adds that a Fraser River Outflow will likely bring about windy conditions from Sunday evening through at least Wednesday, Feb. 5.
As for the Cascades, moderate snowfall is in the forecast for Jan. 31 through Feb. 2.
The Northwest Avalanche Center is also issuing a warning for dangerous conditions as temperatures are expected to rise Jan. 31 before plunging over the weekend.
