BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A moderate heat warning is in effect in Whatcom County as temperatures rise this week.
The National Weather Service in Seattle (NWS) is forecasting temperatures in the 80s from Tuesday, July 15 through Thursday, July 17.
Overnight lows will continue to be relatively warm, staying in the low to mid 60s during that time.
The NWS says temperatures will drop starting on Friday and stay in the mid-70s into next week.
Residents are reminded to practice heat safety by staying hydrated, not to grill near dry vegetation during dry conditions and to never leave people or pets in a locked vehicle.
