BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A predicted storm this weekend may impact your Father’s Day plans.

Thunderstorms forecasted to hit throughout western Washington started Friday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Seattle says the worst of it is likely to hit the central and lower Puget Sound region around Saturday afternoon. But Whatcom County will see some of the action with a 28% chance of thunder in Lynden and a 27% chance in Bellingham on Saturday.

NWS says if the storm fully develops, there will likely be lightning, heavy rainfall, gusty winds and some small hail. They add outdoor activities and events could be impacted by the weather.

The storm is predicted to clear up by mid-next week.
