WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County’s unemployment rate saw a significant drop last month.
The Washington State Employment Security Department reports that the county’s jobless rate fell to 4.3% in March.
That’s down from February’s non-seasonally adjusted rate of 5.5%. It also dropped from the same time last year.
Skagit County also saw its unemployment rate drop to 4.7% in March.
Meanwhile, the statewide rate remained the same as in February but slightly fell compared to the same time last year.
