BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Whatcom Humane Society is asking for help from the community after receiving a massive influx of stray cats.
The shelter says its cat kennels are full thanks to a surge in cat and kittens that arrived on Saturday. It’s looking for any donations of canned pate cat food, cat toys or other supplies.
The humane society is urging the public not to buy a cat or kitten from breeders with so many up for adoption.
They’re also reminding owners to microchip or put a collar on their cats so they can be returned home if they’re lost.
Their Division Street shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
