BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A police pursuit in Bellingham led to a woman’s arrest.
Bellingham Police spokesperson Megan Peters says an officer pulled over the suspect on McCleod Rd on Thursday, April 25, after witnessing the driver swerving in and out of their lane.
The driver initially stopped and pulled over, but sped off once the officer approached her car. Another officer found the car on Vallette St. and attempted to pull it over again.
The driver, identified as a 25-year-old woman, got out of the car and ran off.
Officers found her hiding on the back porch of a nearby home and took her into custody. During a search, officers recovered white powder that tested positive for fentanyl.
The suspect also had warrants out for her arrest, including two for DUI.
