NORTH CASCADES, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Wet weather did not stop crews from getting to work clearing the path to a major Whatcom County destination on Wednesday, May 29.
WSDOT says crews started clearing the road from Heather Meadows to Artist Point.
The 2.7-mile stretch of Mt. Baker Highway is an active work zone, and any backcountry recreationalists should give crews plenty of room to do their work.
There is no timeline yet for the reopening, but last summer Artist Point opened on June 28.
