WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Overnight travelers will begin to see construction delays next week along I-5 in Whatcom County.
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says that paving work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 16 at 8 p.m.
Crews will repave a 10-mile stretch of road between Blaine and the Nooksack River in Ferndale.
The project will also include future guardrail repairs and ramp repaving.
Any ramp detours will be done during the overnight hours but work on the shoulder could occur during the day.
WSDOT estimates that all aspects of the project will be finished by October.
