
At the Noisy Waters Mural Festival the general public can purchase tokens and use them to vote for their favorite muralist. The winners will receive large wall commissions throughout Bellingham.

The Northwest Washington Fair is offering free admission to anyone who pitches in for Food Drive Friday, all you have to do is donate at least four items.

Entries are being accepted free of charge now through Oct. 1.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Aug. 18, at 7 a.m. Community members are simply encouraged to come out to the speedway, watch riders do some laps, grab a bite and support the foundation— all in remembrance of Owen.

The “Stuff the Bus” drive takes place Aug. 7 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lakeway Fred Meyer in Bellingham.

WWU will host a panel of economic and financial literacy speakers for the 2024 Washington Economics Symposium on Aug. 20.

Their last bargaining session took place on July 25.

If chosen, the winning event will be held for the first time in spring 2026.
