A community member saw an ad online for an electric bike that appeared to have been stolen earlier this month.
The bomb threat was called into the Bellingham mall in September, but officers did not find anything suspicious at the time.
BPD notes that two people have been taken into custody on drug charges as well.
The man faces up to ten years in prison for the conviction.
Whatcom County Health and Community Services says it’s increasing shelter security following the incident and police will be doing extra patrols near it on Wednesday night.
The man remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $100,000 bail.

The man was found guilty two years prior to the incident for separate cases of vehicle theft and robbery.
The business suspects the same person has broken into the establishment both times.
The suspect remains at the Whatcom County Jail without bail.
