The man will be sent to the state’s civil commitment center for sexual predators on McNeil Island until his civil commitment trial in 2025.
The conviction occurred after two inmates were found unresponsive in their cell at the Whatcom County Jail.
The suspect was taken into custody after creating safety issues on city trails and roads.
It has not yet been specified where the trial, set for June 2025, will be relocated.
The high-level investigation was convened by the U.S. Coast Guard and has passed its initial year-long time frame.
The suspect alleged that the man was trespassing, but the suspect continued to instigate a fight as the man attempted to walk away.
The man’s whereabouts are unknown and is wanted in connection to the triple murder that took place in Concrete in August.

The man is set to be released on Sept. 5, but the Attorney General’s Office claims he is too violent to be released from prison.
The man has been in custody since Oct. 2023. He now faces additional weapon and malicious mischief charges.
