
Ward joined Whatcom County Fire District 8 as a firefighter in 2007.

Firefighters worked with Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Bellingham Police and Sumas Police officers to set up a rope system to pull her up.

The E22 crew worked to protect buildings and keep flames away as the Palisades Fire continued to grow.

South Whatcom Fire Authority says its four firefighters continue to work 24-to-30-hour shifts while fighting the Palisade Fire.

Their first assignment is to the Palisade Fire near the Mandeville Canyon neighborhood in west Los Angeles for structure protection.

Whatcom County Search and Rescue was able to reach the skier 14 hours after he was initially reported overdue.

The morning crew consisting of Dave Walker, Allan Fee and Patrice Valentine, along with the help of afternoon host Scotty VanDryver, grant wishes that will have a positive impact on the lives of the listeners.

Now in its eighth year, “Vehicle for a Vet” culminates a season of giving at Cascade Radio Group in Bellingham.

Twelve deputies participated in the training, as well as representatives from local law enforcement and Whatcom County Health and Community Services.

A “push-in” ceremony was attended by over 100 people including community members, city officials and firefighters.
