If it’s passed, Initiative 25-01 would eliminate so-called “junk fees” for renters in Ferndale.
If passed, the bond would provide money to build a new high school and performing arts center, while also funding gym and athletic complex renovations.
The initiative would also prohibit landlords from requiring tenants sign a nondisclosure agreement relating to their lease agreement.
The de-annexation proposal will need a 60% supermajority in order to pass this November.
Each committee’s statement and rebuttal will appear on the local voters’ pamphlet ahead of the Nov. 4 general election.
