The newly launched planning effort called Downtown Forward aims to bring in new business to downtown and continue to revitalize the area following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The preliminary count showed Democrat Dave Upthegrove defeating Republican Sue Kuehl Pederson for second place by just 51 votes—less than a hundredth of a percentage-point difference.

The funds will be used to produce sustainable aviation fuels for airports throughout the region.
