KGMI’s Adam Smith has your weekend plans ready for a great time in Bellingham, Ferndale and beyond.

On Tuesday, August 5, the newsroom at My Bellingham Now and KGMI heads to Joe Martin Field to watch the Bellingham Bells take the field—and you’re invited to join us.

The closure applies to all molluscan shellfish including clams, oysters, mussels, and scallops. 

Crews will also be removing non-native plants around the launch, with plans to replace them in the near future. 

San Juan Cruises is one of thirty members of the Pacific Whale Watching Association, which encompasses whale watching companies in the state of Washington and Vancouver B.C. The overall goal is to provide a community conversation in order to find whales and observe them safely.

According to the city, this improves visibility when exiting spaces and prevents drivers from blindly backing into moving traffic.
