The NICC says widespread wildfire activity across the country is creating a shortage of fire fighters and resources, which demanded the increased support.

The majority of the facilities are located in western Washington, with the nearest one being the Indian Ridge Youth Camp near Arlington, though it has since been demolished.

Part of the planning includes ways to cut traffic fatalities and make transportation more accessible.  

The free showers are available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the City Hall parking lot. 

The National Weather Service says the advisory will remain in effect through Saturday, Sept. 7.

The man was last seen on Wednesday morning.

The man’s whereabouts are unknown and is wanted in connection to the triple murder that took place in Concrete in August.

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a heat advisory for western Whatcom and Skagit counties until 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5. 

The interim Medical Examiner is expected to begin his role with the county following the council’s next meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
