The Port of Bellingham has received nearly $18 million in federal funds to upgrade the shipping terminal.
The ban includes any and all fireworks legally purchased at stands around the county.

Properties for sale include buildings/land in Whatcom County as well as a waterfront site on San Juan Island.
No evacuation orders are in effect, but people are being asked to avoid the area.
