A bomb cyclone is hitting the Pacific Northwest, though its most severe effects will hit southern Oregon and northern California.

The North Cascades Highway will be shut down through the weekend between the Ross Dam Trailhead and the Silver Star Gate.

The NWS is calling for another Atmospheric River to impact the region, as Bellingham is forecasted to see 1″ of rain while Concrete could see up to 2″.

Rivers and coasts may flood, and snow may impact roads at high elevation.

Up to 3 feet of snow is predicted to fall this week, and the Ski Area staff has finished their preliminary safety training ahead of opening day.

High winds will begin overnight on Monday and persist until Tuesday. The NWS reminds residents to prepare for power outages.
