It was jump-started in November 2023 when voters approved a new sales tax to fund the project, which includes construction of a new county jail among many other public health, safety and justice initiatives. Now, just over a year into the plan, Schott-Bresler gives an update on the county’s progress and what the timeline for the new jail looks like.
