BELLINGHAM, WA – A plan to revamp the Amtrak Cascades services is in the works.

The Amtrak Cascades Service Development Plan or SDP will improve the service over the next 20 years.

The first steps for the plan is to create a blueprint, and Amtrak will be seeking commentary on the plan before the December 2023 deadline.

A preliminary SDP will be released to the public next month with information about the two new lines added this fall to increase service in the Pacific Northwest.
