Seattle is expected to hire Jay Harbaugh as their special teams coordinator.
Harbaugh is the son of newly hired Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh.
They coached together for the past five seasons at the University of Michigan, where new Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald was the Wolverines defensive coordinator for a year.
Harbaugh replaces Larry Izzo, who served as special teams coordinator for the past four seasons under Pete Carroll.
The Seahawks also added former Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier as an assistant head coach.
Meanwhile, the son of another famous coach is heading to Seattle.
Steve Belichick is officially heading to the University of Washington as their new defensive coordinator.
Steve spent the past 12 seasons with his father Bill on the Patriots.
ESPN’s Field Yates confirmed the report and added there is familiarity between Belichick and new Huskies coach Jedd Fisch, who spent the 2020 season on New England’s staff.
The Mariners made a move to bolster their bullpen.
Seattle traded right-hander Prelander Berroa, outfielder Zach DeLoach, and the 69th pick in the 2024 draft to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for right-handed reliever Gregory Santos.
The 24-year-old Santos was 2-2 in 60 games with Chicago last year, posting a 3.39 ERA with 66 strikeouts.
The Western Washington University women’s team had its eight-game winning streak snapped on Saturday.
They lost to Alaska Anchorage 77-69 for their first loss at home this season.
Brooke Walling led the team with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the loss.
The 13th-ranked Vikings now drop to 17-4 on the season.
The men’s team picked up a big win on the road.
They defeated Western Oregon 78-62 behind 23 points from Kai Johnson.
Johnson also made ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 for a vicious off-the-backboard dunk he had in the second quarter.
The Vikings snapped a three-game losing streak with the win as they now improve to 13-9 on the season.

The Lynden boys edged Lynden Christian 61-56 thanks to 32 points from Anthony Canales.
He scored the Lions’ last 10 points to secure the win.
Lynden girls doubled up Lynden Christian 66-33 to cap off the season with a 20-1 record.
Sehome boys beat Nooksack Valley 55-41.
Nooksack Valley girls crushed Sehome 72-30 to win their 11th straight and finish the season 21-1.
Bellingham boys fell to Mount Vernon 74-69.
Bellingham girls lost to Mount Vernon as well, 52-47.
Meridian boys outlasted Squalicum 53-46.
And the Squalicum girls avenged them with a 47-43 win over Meridian.
