BELLINGHAM, WA. – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Preliminary results are in for yesterday’s Special Election.

All school districts appear to be on track to pass their respective levies.

Nooksack Valley’s was not passing after the first count, but Wednesday’s updated tally has it passing by just seven votes.

Meanwhile, two major bond proposals in Blaine and Lynden are still on track to tank.

Both need a 60% majority “yes” vote in order to pass.

In Lynden, their $157.5 million bond proposal is sitting at just over 50% of voters approving the measure, which would include funding to build a new Lynden High School.

The odds are slightly better in Blaine for their $70 million bond measure.

But with just over 54% of voters saying “yes,” it still doesn’t meet the 60% threshold.

About 1,500 ballots are left to be counted according to the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office.

The next ballot count will be released at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15.
