BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man accused of robbing two Bellingham businesses in three days has been arrested.
Police spokesperson Megan Peters says that the suspect initially entered a downtown cannabis store last Thursday and stole $100 worth of products from behind the counter. When confronted, the suspect allegedly threatened to stab the employees before leaving.
Two days later, the suspect returned to the same store and stole another $80 worth of products. A customer attempted to stop him, but he was able to get away once again.
Police were called to a grocery store on Sunday after the same suspect left without paying for nearly $500 worth of items. An employee was hit by the suspect after trying to confront him.
The suspect, 29-year-old Corin Beauvais, was located by officers near the store and was taken into custody.
He remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $90,000 bail.
