LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Free bus rides are coming back to Whatcom County.
The Whatcom Transportation Authority announced on Wednesday, July 31 that it is offering free fares on almost all their routes from Aug. 8 through Aug. 17.

The Free Fare Days coincide with the Northwest Washington Fair, which will spare fairgoers the hassle of searching for parking.
During Free Fare Days, WTA’s Route 26 will provide regular bus service to the fairgrounds.
For those looking to park and ride, free parking is available at WTA’s Cordata Station on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paratransit rides are also free in addition to the fixed-route buses.
