BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reminds drivers to avoid getting home via the I-5 Slater Road ramps.

On Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 28 to 29, daytime on and off-ramp closures are set to occur at the interchange with I-5 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. WSDOT says the closure is necessary in order to continue the ongoing roundabout work being done.

Crews will also close the Slater Road southbound on-ramp daily on Oct. 30 to 31 sometime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Signed detours will be available throughout both closures.

Drivers are advised to expect delays along Slater Road or take alternate routes. WSDOT plans to continue to send email updates as the work is weather dependent and could be rescheduled due to rainy conditions.
