WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – It’s nearly time to fall back, but not everyone is getting on board with the biannual clock change.

Earlier this year, My Bellingham Now reported that British Columbia voted to stay on Daylight Saving Time year-round.

The majority of the province set their clocks forward by 1 hour for the last time in March, joining Hawai’i and Arizona as regions that don’t observe clock changes.

Some parts of B.C. near the Alberta border use Mountain Standard Time and will not be impacted by the change.

Former Premier David Eby added that many residents were in favor of the change, citing a 2019 poll that found 93% of people wanted yearlong Daylight Saving Time.

As for Washington residents and most other parts of the continent, the clocks fall back by an hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1.
