BIRCH BAY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A local waterslide park is reopening its doors next month.
Birch Bay Waterslides announced that the park will be open on June 14.
The park has been selling single day tickets as well as season passes on their website since the beginning of May.
My Bellingham Now previously reported that park officials didn’t submit proper records to the county health department in order to reopen last summer.
The park was closed down following an incident in 2023 when a man was injured on the Hairpin slide after his leg broke through a defective panel. The man is currently suing the park as well as Whatcom County Health and Community Services and two waterslide engineer and repair companies.
Birch Bay Waterslides has a page on their website that details the repairs made as well as have been posting about the repairs on social media since the beginning of the year.
