BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A major studio film production is taking place in Bellingham. Here’s what we know.

A letter sent to nearby business owners claims that a section of State Street between Holly and Chestnut streets will be closed off this Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.

A production company has secured a road closure permit for the area outside the Shakedown, as well as the rear alley. Parking spaces will also be restricted, with production vehicles parking on both sides of the street.

It is unclear what movie the filming is for at this time, though business registration for TPS Productions services LLC, the permittee, share the same business address in Atlanta as the Tyler Perry Studios’ registration.

Additionally, several casting calls have been advertised for extras, with shoot dates taking place throughout the week.

The production is seeking firefighters for paid roles Thursday, Sept. 24 and next Monday, Sept. 28. They’re also looking for paid dive bar extras on Friday, Sept. 25.

As of Monday, Sept. 21 there are 15 casting call listings on the Alessi Hartigan Casting website.
