MOUNT BAKER SKI AREA, Wash. – Good news for skiers and snowboarders.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Cascades of Whatcom and Skagit Counties, including the Mount Baker Ski Area.

As much as two feet of new snow is expected between now and Wednesday morning, February 8th.

Mount Baker Ski Area currently has a base of 116 inches.

Strong winds with gusts up to 40 miles per hour are also forecast for the high country.
