PUYALLUP, Wash. – The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is making an emergency plea for donations as it cares for 246 rabbits that were seized from a Puyallup home.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department says it was the largest animal seizure ever by its animal control officers.
They began an investigation after receiving complaints about the residence.
Officers took action Thursday and found 95 rabbits in two outdoor sheds and the rest inside the home in numerous cages.
