OLYMPIA, Wash. – It is getting nicer out and there is no better way to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Northwest than with a nice stroll.
The Washington State Department of Health announced Wednesday, May 24th, the release of a new, free walking program that looks to improve people’s health.
The self-directed program is called “Walk With Ease” and includes a guidebook and walking journal.
After enrollment, users can choose a start date and begin walking three times a week.
The DOH designed it to help people manage and prevent chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and arthritis.
