BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Drivers’ quick actions are being credited with helping save the life of a person who fell from a freeway overpass on Saturday.
Bellingham Police say a woman in her 40’s either jumped or fell from the Sunset Drive overpass onto northbound I-5 at about 12:30 p.m.
Drivers swerved to avoid her and others stopped to block freeway traffic until aid could arrive and perform live-saving measures.
The woman was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
