WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A gang member convicted of selling drugs in Whatcom County has been sentenced.

Court documents state that 40-year-old Davon Malbrough will spend just over 4 years in federal custody on a controlled substance distribution charge.

He caught the attention of the Whatcom County Gang and Drug Task Force in 2023 after a tip claimed he had been selling drugs in a Bellingham encampment.

Undercover agents conducted controlled purchases from Malbrough, leading to his arrest and indictment last October.

My Bellingham Now previously reported on the arrests of other gang members affiliated with Malbrough, including that of gang leader Leanthony Palmer.

In addition to drug dealing, Palmer was also indicted on sex trafficking and money laundering charges.

His federal trial has been scheduled for May 10.
