SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Residents in a rural part of Skagit County south of Sedro-Woolley are being urged to leave the area immediately following a developing emergency.

Skagit County announced around 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, that a vehicle hit a propane tank near 11200 Morford Rd in Clear Lake.

The county has issued a Level 3 – Leave Now evacuation order for everyone within 200 yards of the site. They warn that staying in the area could put people at risk of exposure to propane gas, fire or explosion.

More information will be released through the Skagit Ready alert system and the county government Facebook page as it becomes available.

Residents are being urged to stay clear of the area and give emergency responders room to work safely.
