They shutout the Florida Panthers 4-0 last night on KPUG to break an eight-game losing streak.
The Kraken held a single-goal lead over the Panthers after two periods.
But three different players scored in the third to solidify the win and snap Florida’s three-game win streak in the process.
Seattle now improves to 9-14-7 on the season.
They’ll continue their homestand tomorrow as they host Connor Bedard and the league-worst Chicago Blackhawks.
Another former Mariner is heading to Atlanta.
The Braves hired Matt Tuiasosopo to replace Ron Washington as their new third base coach.
He played three seasons as a left fielder and utility infielder for the M’s from 2008-2010.
It follows Seattle’s recent trade that sent Jared Kelenic and others to Atlanta.
The Seattle Storm will pick fourth in the upcoming WNBA Draft after Sunday’s draft lottery.
The Storm finished with the second-worst record in the league last season.
They’ll look to pair someone with this year’s league-leading scorer Jewell Loyd.
