BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A man reported missing from Bellingham has been found dead.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Deb Slater says that 26-year-old Stefan Olivier had been listed as missing since Friday.

He had last told his friends that he would be off-roading in an area near the South Fork of the Nooksack River.

Whatcom County rescue crews assisted Bellingham Police in searching for Olivier on Friday and Saturday in snowy conditions.

Olivier’s body was found covered in snow in a ditch on Saturday morning.

His car was discovered down an embankment off of Middle Fork Rd by rescue crews on Sunday.

The Whatcom County Medical Examiner will determine Olivier’s cause of death.
