BELLINGHAM, WA. – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Police at Western Washington University are searching for a suspect after a student was assaulted on campus.
The university says that a group of students went to the stage area of Outback Farm around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23rd, where they were met by a group of teens.
One of the teens was allegedly intoxicated and punched a WWU student without warning.
A fight broke out between the groups and the teens fled once university police was called.
Investigators do not believe the younger group has any connection to the university.
The suspect accused of punching the student is believed to be a white male aged 16 to 19, who was last seen wearing a gray hoodie.
