BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Western Washington University Softball team finished one of the most historic comebacks in program history, beating Cal State Dominguez Hills in extra innings 7-6.

Freshman third baseman Maleah Andrews started the bottom of the 8th inning for the Vikings, launching a walk-off home run into deep left-center field to secure the win for the Vikings.

The WWU Softball team moves on as the first GNAC school to win a West Regional title and move on to the NCAA Softball Championship Finals. WWU will play in Longwood, FL from May 19 – 25 with hopes of securing the title.
