John B. Culmine, beloved husband, father, and commercial fisherman, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Known for his kind and nurturing spirit, John touched many lives with his laughter, stories, and unwavering love for his family.
Born to Rosario and Graziella, John grew up in Chiffalo, Algeria, where he developed a strong work ethic that defined his career as a dedicated commercial fisherman. His hard work was matched only by his devotion to his family, particularly his late wife, Beatrice, whom he lovingly cared for until her passing in 2017.
John will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his knack for storytelling, and his joy of the BBQ grill — earning him the nickname “John BBQ” among friends and family. He found great joy in simple pleasures: spending time with loved ones, engaging in Bible studies, and sharing laughter with cherished friends.
He is survived by his son Russell Culmine and his family, daughter Gracelyn George and her family, and daughter Kathryn Belmont and her family. John was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice and their son Joseph Culmine.
John B. Culmine’s kindness, love, and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Beatrice and Joseph in the eternal embrace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There will be a graveside service held on July 5, at 10 am at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale. There will be a reception at New Song Church following the graveside. All who knew and loved John are welcome to come.
