BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will shut down the I-5 on-ramp at Iowa Street for construction on July 11.

WSDOT has announced a closure at the northbound on-ramp at Iowa Street starting at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 11 to update guardrails and illumination to the on-ramp.

A detour will take drivers to the Lakeway Drive on-ramp to access I-5 northbound.

The Iowa Street on-ramp is expected to reopen at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 12.

WSDOT says additional overnight closures for that same on-ramp will be scheduled throughout the next few weeks.
