WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A key deadline is approaching ahead of November’s general election.

The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office says residents need to register to vote or update their registration by Monday, Oct. 28, if they want to do so online or by mail. After Monday, people can only register or update their registration in-person at the auditor’s office, which is expected to have long lines on election week.

General election ballots were mailed out last week. The auditor’s office says any registered voter who has not yet received their ballot should contact their Election Division for a replacement.

Ballots are due at a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on election day or must be postmarked by Nov. 5.

You can find those drop box locations, along with all the other voting information you need, on the elections tab of our website.
