DEMING, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Road crews will be kicking off 2025 with some construction work in Deming.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says that traffic on SR-9 will alternate within a single lane at the Nooksack River Bridge starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2.

Crews will be performing routine maintenance on the bridge until about 2 p.m.

All road work across the state has been paused as of noon on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will be allowed to resume early Thursday morning.
