BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A downtown Bellingham nonprofit is thanking the community for helping its recovery effort following a devastating fire.
Ragfinery said in a statement that it has raised over $25,000 to pay its staff through the end of the month. Any additional donations beyond the shop’s initial goal of $23,000 are helping to maintain its baseline operations.
No one was injured after a fire on Dec. 29 damaged the exterior of the building. Ragfinery says it expects that most of its inventory was lost to smoke and water damage.
The shop adds that those who want to offer additional support can do so by volunteering, sharing any available space to hold workshops or partnering for fundraisers.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
