WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – 2024 turned out to be an excellent year for home sales in Whatcom County.
Peter Ahn of the Muljat Group says that the median price of a home hit an all-time high of $635,000 last year.
The number of homes sold also went up slightly to just over 2400, reversing a two-year decline.
Mount Baker, Lynden, Birch Bay and Blaine all saw minor drops in total home sales.
Ahn believes that 2025 will be even better for the market as mortgage rates remain steady. He also notes that houses are staying on the market for shorter periods of time, with the exception of Mount Baker and Nooksack Valley.
Sudden Valley saw the sharpest drop in total says on the market with a 2024 average of 26 days.
