A legendary Seahawks coach could be making his return to the NFL.
ESPN reports the Chicago Bears plan to interview former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll for their vacant head coach job tomorrow.
Carroll was removed as Seahawks head coach following the 2023 season after a 14-year tenure.
The 73-year-old is the all-time winningest coach in franchise history with 147 career wins and one Super Bowl.
ESPN previously reported that Carroll had interest in returning to coaching in the NFL, particularly for the Bears.
He could now find a new home in the Midwest after Chicago fired previous coach Matt Eberflus midway through the season.
A Bellingham-native is out of a job after another coach firing in the NFL.
The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired Doug Pederson after three years with the team.
Pederson was born in Bellingham and attended Ferndale High School.
He went 23-30 over his time with the Jaguars and finished this past season with a 3-13 record, which netted them the fifth pick in the draft.

Seattle acquired U.S. team forward Jesus Ferreira from FC Dallas in exchange for winger Leo Chu and $1 million.
Ferreira scored 53 goals with 34 assists for Dallas in 163 regular season games with the club.
The 24-year-old also has 15 goals in 23 appearances for the United States and was on the squad that played in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Ferreira scored in his MLS debut at 16 back in 2017, becoming the second-youngest player to score in league history.

Dolfo has led Western for 34 seasons now and is the 5th winningest active coach in Division II.
The Viking women are in the midst of a hot streak that has seen them win four of their last five games.
They currently sit at third place in the GNAC standings with an 8-5 record, 3-1 in conference play.
Dolfo will look to reach the 700 mark when Western hosts Northwest Nazarene at Carver Gym tomorrow night at 7.
