CINCINATI, OH (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new investigation has found that Kroger is overcharging for products at its stores.

The report has found that Kroger, parent company of Fred Meyer, has not correctly deducted discounts and sales at the checkout counter for scores of items in over a dozen states.

Consumer Reports, along with The Guardian and Food Environment Reporting Network, conducted the investigation that took sample prices across the country.

They found dozens of price discrepancies in Washington state as well as in five other states throughout the country.

The shoppers that bought the items said they averaged about $6 in overcharging per week.

Kroger staff told Consumer Reports that they are angry about the price issues and want to see them resolved.
