Kraken News

The Kraken are back from their extended Olympic break tonight.

They’re facing the Dallas Stars with a chance to end the Stars’ six-game win streak. Seattle will look to pick up where it left off before the break, when it won five of its last six matches.

Coverage begins at 4:30 and puck drops at 5 on KPUG.

It comes after President Trump announced last night that Team USA goalie Connor Hellebuyck will become the first hockey player ever to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Hellebuyck made 41 saves in the gold medal game against Canada and also assisted on the overtime goal scored by Jack Hughes in the US’s 2-1 victory.

Mariners News

The Mariners continued spring training with another high-scoring affair this afternoon.

The M’s played the Kansas City Royals to an 8-8 tie in their sixth game of Cactus League play. Brennen Davis, Jakson Reetz and Connor Joe all hit home runs for Seattle and Bryan Woo gave up one run through one and a third innings in his spring training debut.

It came just a day after the Mariners fell to the White Sox in another barn burner that saw the teams score 22 combined runs.

They’ll keep it going in Peoria tomorrow when they face the Cleveland Guardians at 12:10 pm.

They’ve now evened their record back up to 14-14 on the season.

The Huskies will now gear up for their final home stretch of the season, starting on Saturday against Wisconsin.
